The fourth quarter of 2024 saw notable trends in the performance of the top news and magazine apps on the Android platform in Greece. Here's a closer look at the top five applications based on data from Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter) experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, beginning at around $676 and peaking at $3.4K in early December. Weekly downloads showed a gradual increase, starting from 2.4K and reaching 3.5K by the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 382K.

Substack maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning with 321 and progressing to over 600 by the end of the year. Active user numbers also rose, finishing the quarter with around 3.5K users.

ΔΕΔΟΜΕΝΟ saw its downloads rise from 62 in mid-November to over 400 by the end of December. Although revenue data was not available, the download numbers indicate a growing interest in this Greek app.

Google News - Daily Headlines had consistent download numbers throughout the quarter, maintaining a range between 140 and 200 weekly downloads. Active users showed a slight decline from 100K to 93K over the period.

Finally, Hindi News by Dainik Bhaskar had varying download figures, peaking at 293 in late October before settling at 57 by the end of December. Active users showed a steady increase, reaching nearly 1.9K by the end of the year.
